Duncan Morin LLP was originally founded in 1993 as an alternative to the entertainment law groups of the large Canadian law firms. We continue to believe that entertainment law in Canada is most effectively practiced in a boutique firm and our client list supports this belief. Our legal team has over forty years of combined legal experience, including many years of hands on in-house production and broadcast experience.

Originally trained in corporate law, John Duncan moved into entertainment law in 1991 when he became Director of Legal and Business Affairs for a major Canadian film and television producer. Two years later, John established his own entertainment law practice. Gigi Morin joined John in 1998 and in 2000 Duncan Morin LLP was founded.
